Proverbs 17:22 Being cheerful keeps you healthy. It is slow death to be gloomy all the time.
Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest.
(Today's English Version)
Pray without ceasing.  In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18)

The following is reminiscent of the famous Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep prayer.  It is a prayer for beginning the day.  I hope you are blessed by it.

Now He wakes me up to see,
the plans the Lord
He has for me.

To lead me by His precious hand,
to the people who need to know
His plan.

To be connect to His heart,
that I would not doubt
where to start.

Throughout the day
I would see His Plan,
because He led me by His hand.

Through His Spirit
they would see,
the outpouring of Christ's love
through me.

I have also updated the following testimony, which has been on this page for the past few weeks.

Many of my co-workers whose shifts intersect mine have heard me talk about Jesus and are aware that I am saved.  One of them shared a testimony that blessed me.

She is a single mother who has raised a son to adulthood and has a daughter who is currently eight years old.  When this child was still only six, she began praying nightly that God would send her a daddy.  Mommy always went in to listen to her bedtime prayers, and always at the conclusion this little one would politely raise her hand, as though to get one last bit of attention, and then make her request, "And God, please send me a daddy."  "I was always told," my co-worker said, "that you aren't supposed to keep asking God for the same thing over and over, but I didn't have the heart to stop her."

I informed my co-worker of my ignorance of any passage in the Bible that says that we can't ask God repeatedly for the same thing.  I then shared with her two examples Jesus gave which, rather, give support to persistence in prayer.  Here are the examples I gave, as they are presented in the Bible:

And He said to them, "Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, 'Friend, lend me three loaves; for a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him'; and he will answer from within and say, 'Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you'?  I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs.
"So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.  If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone?  Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?  Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?  If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him(Luke 11:5 New King James Version)!"

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: "There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man.  Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, 'Get justice for me from my adversary.'  And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, 'Though I do not fear God nor regard man,  yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.' "  Then the Lord said, "Hear what the unjust judge said.  And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?  I tell you that He will avenge them speedily.  Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth(Luke 18:1-8)?"

And my co-worker whose daughter persisted in prayer for a daddy?  Well, she met a man about a year ago with whom she has begun the foundations of a relationship.  She seems to be very well pleased with him: He is saved, he can sing, and he loves her little girl!  They have now gotten engaged, and she has a beautiful ring!

Please pray for them, that all will go well for them, to the glory of God.
